What Is This Thing Called Jazz?

This CD gave me a chance to sing my love for the popular/jazz standard. All of the tunes on this record are simply stated and feature some of my personally favorite musicians. I started with a few basic arrangement ideas and then went into the studio and improvised, which is the way I like to work and make music. This recording truly states my love for “music in the moment” and flows seamlessly from start to finish.

Reviews of What Is This Thing Called Jazz?

Laura Theodore’s voice is a diverse instrument... showing off her spectacular range and vocal stylings on most of the standards here. Theodore’s musicianship and that of her band produce plenty of wonderful music moments.
