The New Leiber and Stoller Musical

Kaleidoscope: A circle of mirrors containing loose, colored objects, which operate on the principle of multiple reflection, where several mirrors are attached together. Typically there are three rectangular lengthwise mirrors.

Premise: Three musical superstars share their music and the changing times, while reflecting on their lives. A superstar guitarist (Joe Beck) shares his musical style and changing life experiences with a famous singer (Peggy Lee) and a big band songwriter/guitarist (Dave Barbour). Peggy discovers that the distant intertwined lives of the trio, have mirrored musical and ‘love lost’ experiences. The trio learns that their lives, loves, and music are all joined through the cult “Mirrors” album that Peggy Lee recorded with Leiber and Stoller, circa 1975.
